Piano or Voice Lessons

Mr.Rickey is a singer-songwriter and dancer who specializes in R&B/Neo-Soul, Jazz, & Gospel music. Beginning at the age of 4 years old, he has been singing and playing piano for over a decade. Been teaching music lessons since 2017. Mr.Rickey attended Howard University (HU!) where he received a Bachelor's Degree in music. While at Howard, he studied classical, jazz, and musical theatre. He was initiated into Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, and performed as a soloist in both the Stellar Award nominated Howard Gospel Choir, and the premiere Jazz acapella ensemble Afro-Blue. As a solo artist, RBIII has performed in countless venues, states, bands and languages for major names including Pastor Bill Winston. Mr.Rickey has been in pursuit of mastery of his craft since childhood. His philosophy is to not to teach how to perform, but to assist students in discovering their voice and encourage them that what they have to say is worth listening to. He considers it an honor to learn alongside his students and share in the love of music. The bulk of improvement happens in a student's private practice time. Mr. Rickey equips students with the tools and exercises to maximize that growth and discovery.
